It’s not hard to imagine why I love animals.

They amaze me! They have generous spirits with a specialty in spreading love, joy, and especially laughter. They are loyal to a fault but that’s their humble brag. They are healers with a super power of crazy good intuition and sun spotting! They are colorful and truly a unique reflection of God’s creativity. I could go on! Animals are the reason I became a portrait artist.

Here is a little back story to share how I got started! A friend of mine suddenly lost her therapy dog after a routine vet check up. Her pup’s super power was to help relieve her of MS pain. This was a great loss. So, I did a sketch of him and that is how it all started. His portrait inspired me to dabble in art again and pursue a hobby after having kids. I started to paint other dogs and cats for friends and family which eventually turned into Lauren Church Portraits! I’m forever grateful for that amazing dog and for all the friends that have trusted me with a portrait.
